Jack's frog
Today we went outside and across the street to my parents house. They have a fish pond that's almost ready for the year. Jack found a frog! He picked it right out of the water, held it and was totally fascinated by it. Also not scared or cautious at all. He really loved catching him and would pick him up, examine him then toss him back into the water. Then wait until the frog would swim back to the edge close enough for Jack to pluck him out again. I have to say I wasn't sure if I was going to let this happen at first, but I figured this is what boys do. Get dirty and play with frogs. He was gentle enough and the frog wasn't exactly trying to keep his distance from Jack. It was really cool to watch him discover a frog for the first time! I'll upload the video soon too!

Good times
The wagon..Jack likes to push, pull or just walk right beside it. Jameson is perfectly happy riding in it. He's crawling and drinking from a sippy cup as if he's been doing it his whole life. :) The dog in the picture is my friend, Carisa's dog, Riley. She is so sweet and great with the kids. She loves to lick them, they love it right back. Jameson especially!
His party is this Sunday and he'll be 1, but he's still my tiny baby. Nicky is making the cake, Charlotte's Web theme! There will be a web in the corner and the writing will say "That's some baby!". She's so talented and creative and came up with that idea by herself.
Jack still isn't speaking yet, but he's talking about something pretty much all the time. I can kinda get the topic of the conversation, sometimes. He's got it all figurerd out though in his own little brain. :)
They're both so sweet and perfect.

Turkeys
So today I look out the family room window with Jameson and there's these turkeys! Three real-live, large turkeys walking in our back yard around the pear tree! I didn't let Gus outside, I had to get a picture of them! No batteries. By now they've cornered themselves in the fence by the white garage that's seperate from our house. I watched and watched figuring I had no time to get new batteries and have them still be there to photograph. They were in no hurry to get out and I kinda thought they were stuck so I ran to get the batteries. When I got back, they were up on the fence...all three of them. They hopped onto the other side of the fence andjustpranced around like they owned the place! All over our yard, our neighbor's-The Gomez's-yard...without a care in the world! I got a picture of them as they were making their way up Breezewood Lane past our mailbox. Once I was done, another neighbor, Mr. Fred, told me he's seen them a couple of times over the last few weeks. Again, acting like they owned the place! Not scared in the least of humans or dogs or anything! I'm sure no one else cares about these birds as much as I do, but they were really cool.
Poor Jameson...his reflux is getting worse and had to be switched to another medicine, Prevacid. It's a p-word pump inhibitor. I can't remember what the first p-word is. It completely shuts off the production of belly acid. He's having a really hard time sleeping during the day, but still sleeps at night...thank goodness. He arches his little back and screams bloody murder! It breaks my heart. Jack had it too, but his was very well controlled on a medication called Axid. Not as strong as Prevacid. Prevacid is also prescribed for adults in a different dose. It'a real pain to give him. It's a pill that you break apart and pour out the granules, then try to figure out what half looks like, stir it up in his baby food and hope he doesn't spit up all the baby food! Not fun at all.
Jack is great as usual. His first boo-boo healed just fine. :)

Things Jack Loves
Jack loves to clean the pool. There's a skimmer to fish out bugs, leaves and things and it has a looong handle. Pop uses the skimmer pretty regularly and Jack has now made it his personal mission to take over this task. He loves doing it, but when he's done, he just drops the handle in the pool. Someone usually catches it before it goes completely under and you have to get in to retreive it. When you take the pole out, he goes over, gets it and resumes his duty. It's very serious when it's time to clean the pool. He walks past the little pool with the swimmy fish to do his job.
Jack also loves his wagon. As most of you know, he can climb in and out, push and pull the wagon and loves to be pulled around in it. Last night after dinner at Sheriff's and LT's, he wanted to go outside and play with the wagon. Well, for an hour Pop, Dad and I took turns running him around their front yard until 9:00! We all lost track of time having so much fun and all. What a good workout!

First band aid
This is a little late, I meant to post it on the day it happened, but have run out of time several times!
We were all outside...me, Jack, Jameson, my dad and my grandmother...and Jack insisted on going up the steps that lead to the kitchen after many failed attempts to keep him in the driveway. The bottom step is concrete and the next step is Trex decking and a little steeper than the others. Even though my dad was right there, and he's an ace at getting up the steps, he crashed out on the last one. When I saw him, he was on his back with that look on his face where he's not sure if he should cry or not. He ended up with a big scratch on his elbow and a big band aid to match! Jack was not all that traumatized, but I was.
